ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Civil Defence Gujranwala is designed as a community-focused platform for safety awareness, practical training, volunteer development and coordination with local institutions.
LOCAL, PRACTICAL, VOLUNTEER-LED
We bring together people who want to make Gujranwala safer through preparation rather than panic. The organisation supports awareness, training, volunteer mobilisation and practical readiness for emergencies.
GOVERNANCE FOUNDATION
These statements can be updated once the organisation approves its formal constitution and legal status.
To equip Gujranwala’s residents and institutions with practical knowledge, trained volunteers and coordinated plans that protect life and reduce avoidable harm.
A prepared Gujranwala where citizens understand risks, institutions practise emergency plans and volunteers are ready to support their communities.
Discipline, inclusion, courage, integrity, teamwork, respect, safety and service before self.
COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
Modern civil defence includes practical measures that help communities prepare for and respond to natural and human-made emergencies.
For a local society, this means building awareness before incidents happen, developing volunteers, helping institutions assess risk, practising evacuation, teaching basic first aid and encouraging people to follow official emergency instructions.
The organisation does not replace emergency services. Its role is to improve public readiness, support prevention and help citizens understand how to act safely until professional responders take control.
Identify hazards, improve housekeeping, promote safe electrical and fire practices and encourage responsible event planning.
Create plans, assign responsibilities, prepare emergency contacts and practise drills.
Mobilise trained volunteers for awareness, communications, welfare support and approved response activities.
